Henry had a work trip out to Long Island for a conference on something very complicated and scientific, so he stopped into Rhinecliff for a few days first — for a bit of very uncomplicated time with Evie and Milo. After Henry left, Evie spent the rest of the day telling anyone who would listen exactly what Henry did. “And then we stood here and this is where he turned me upside down… and then in this room he showed me how to build an animal tower… and here he spun me around on the floor.” She’s going to be shocked to discover at the Wedding of the Year that she has some competition for Henry’s attention! Here are a few quick pics from the now-traditional Bridge Walk that we do with all our visitors.

After posing for that photo, Evie insisted on taking one of me, Henry, and Milo. Her first attempt:

A second go:

And here’s a pic of Milo in his baby carrier, taken by me looking down on him. What a view!

We made it to the middle! (Thanks to lots of pushing by Henry plus the promise of an ice cream cookie sandwich at the end.)

Evie and Paige met at Color Me Mine, a little pottery studio where you get to pick out a pot or ornament and paint it. Just like her mother, she sticks her tongue out when she concentrates!
